Psychoeducational Testing
Psychoeducational testing provides critical information regarding a student’s learning style, including cognitive strengths and weaknesses, and is critical in identifying root causes of academic underperformance. This type of testing helps diagnose learning disabilities, and supports academic success by addressing challenges including but not limited to ADHD, problems with reading comprehension, and poor organizational skills. Determining students’ cognitive strengths and weaknesses helps identify the academic accommodations that they will most benefit from, which can have a great impact on students’ academic self-concept and ultimate success. We communicate evaluation results in an age-appropriate fashion with children and families, and provide consultation and evaluation follow-up as needed. Drs. Sáez and Pacheco-Colón offer services in both English and Spanish.
