Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Saez is a neuropsychologist, licensed psychologist, and founder of Neuropsychology Associates of Miami. He specializes in conducting assessments of cognitive functioning among individuals with neurological, developmental and psychiatric conditions. He has practiced extensively with children and adults to perform evaluations of individuals with Intellectual and Learning Disabilities (ID/LD), AD/HD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Epilepsy, Cerebrovascular Accidents (CVAs), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Dementia, Parkinson’s Disease, and cognitive problems associated with psychiatric conditions. His expertise in neuropsychological assessment allows him to accurately diagnose patients, develop individualized treatment plans, recommend specialized accommodations, and provide critical feedback to his referral sources. Dr. Saez currently holds medical privileges at Baptist Hospital of Miami, is a vendor for the Florida Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and for the Florida Brain and Spinal Cord Injury Program.

Dr. Saez obtained doctoral training at Fordham University in New York, where he earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2010. He underwent pre-doctoral training in psychology and neuropsychology at NYU/Bellevue Hospital Bilingual Treatment Program and the Comprehensive Epilepsy Center at NYU Langone Medical Center. He completed a psychology internship at NYU/Rusk Institute for Rehabilitation Medicine and subsequently a post-doctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He has received specialty training in neuropsychology and rehabilitation psychology, as well as in the provision of neuropsychological and psychotherapeutic services with Spanish speakers. His clinical and research interests include cultural factors in cognitive assessment, traumatic brain injury, detection of malingering, and increasing access to quality neuropsychological services for the Hispanic community. His dissertation titled, The Impact of Sociocultural Factors on Nonverbal Neuropsychological Test Performance Among Hispanic Epilepsy Patients examined the relationship between education and acculturation on commonly used neuropsychological tests in a culturally diverse sample of epilepsy patients.

Dr. Saez is a Miami native, and is fluent in English and Spanish. He enjoys helping individuals across the age span to succeed in their educational and occupational endeavors, and to thrive in their social and family contexts.
